Review of The Pact (2012) by Eytan D — 27 Jun 2013
Developed from his own 2011 short film, Nicholas McCarthy manages to pull off some decent scares in "The Pact," and it helps that the movie is more interested in psychological horror than full-on gore.
But as a supernatural tale, "The Pact" is hindered by an occasional woodenness, some bland acting (Haley Hudson stands out as a blind psychic), and a character played by Casper Van Dien who seems to disappear into the scenery.
And the movie could have done with a less cliched title.
