Review of The Ox-Bow Incident (1943) by Dawn . — 19 Jun 2006
I actually read somewhere that Henry Fonda actually got acting lessons from Marlon Brando's mom when he first started out. That to me is so interesting since it took place in Omaha, just 3 hours from where I live.
Well, both of those actors are two of the greatest. Henry Fonda's performance in this is the real highlight. The story was very good and original but unlike any western that I have ever seen. There was no real gunfights, or anything from your typical western.
The ending was very unexpected but it really taught a valuable lesson. I personally think that this is one of the most inspirational movies I have seen. I also would say that it might just be one of the greatest westerns of all time.
