One of the greatest of all movie westerns. Based on the book by Walter Van Tilburg Clark and directed by William Wellman, the film successfully questions the quest for quick revenge. It is harrowing and unforgettable.
Henry Fonda plays a cowboy who tries to stop a group of cowboys from taking out vigilante justice on two men who they think murdered a cattleman.
