It manages to fly a bit off the rails at the end, but that's kind of the point. The Overnight, tackles the kind of marital difficulties that in films usually result in a torrid affair and eventual breakup.
Instead of the inevitable Hollywood storyline, The Overnight addresses the insecurities faced by partners, particularly in bed, with a great deal of maturity and a fair bit of fun. It's refreshing to see such an adult taken on marrige and sexual disfunction, with just a little bit of adolescent hyjinx to keep it entertaining.
