Review of The Outsider (2018) by Mayank A — 30 Apr 2018
The movie is a crime drama thriller based in post-WW2 Japan, where an American becomes a Yakuza (Japanese Mafia) member. I watched it for Jared Leto's portrayal and he is good. Even though the movie is well shot and directed, having many bloody scenes, the story itself falls flat with nothing new to offer to the genre, the pacing feels dull, by the end I felt it was a pointless watch with no entertainment value.
