Review of The Outsider (2018) by Bananafish — 15 Mar 2018
This is an entertaining movie. It's not great, and lacks some nuance and sophistication. However, it's solidly acted, scripted, and provides entertainment. It takes place in 1954, in (an authentic looking) post-WW2 Japan , so there's no fancy special effects or green screens needed.
If you need wiz-bang non-stop action, this might not be the right movie. If you can get into a slow-moving but intense action flick, I would say give it a go. I enjoyed it.
