Review of The Outlaw Josey Wales (1976) by Andrew B — 08 Apr 2008
Clint Eastwood provides a more developed form of the Man with No Name, including, appropriately enough, a name. The story is not especially compelling, but it continues the use of Spaghetti Western traditions, which is good enough in its own right.
The group tha assembles around Josey Wales is full of well written characters, and the post-Civil War setting make this a very worthy Western.
