This movie has a great easy, evolving pace. It starts out looking to be a full on, fast paced A to B revenge story - but then it slides into the Civil War before simply drifting along with the hero as he picks up stray after stray forming an odd make shift family.
The bad guys are always a pursuing presence and do show themselves for the climax, but the joy of this movie is in the journey.
