Perhaps the greatest movie of Clint Eastwood's career. A sweeping portrait of the American West at the end of the Civil War. The movie is a fascinating study of a wronged man seeking bloody vengeance for the death of his family who is dragged grudgingly to personal redemption by a group of refugees he escorts across the country.
The acting, cinematography, screenplay, and music are top notch. Eastwood's performance is his most nuanced.
