My nonstop October horror viewing marathon begins. #1 - The Others. Saw this for the first time actually. A haunted house story that relies upon sound effects, atmosphere, and ideas rather than special effects (the risible remake of The Haunting, which went in the opposite direction, hit theaters round the same time).
