Review of The Others (2001) by Chris H — 17 Jul 2011
Nicole Kidman plays a brittle, edge of hysteria, young mother left alone to bring up her two children in a big, remote, house when her husband goes missing in action during The Great War. When the children claim to have seen ghosts or other people, Kidman starts patrolling the house with a douible barrel shotgun. You would think the calming influence of Flanagan, Sykes and a mute as the returning house servants would help, but they know more than they are letting on.
I enjoyed this film and the way the film suddenly switches to the other's view point!
