Review of The Others (2001) by Cleopatra G — 16 Nov 2013
The Others was very good. Nicole Kidman is an extremely convincing actress and is quite versatile. I thought she did a great job portraying a young mother gone mad. I especially liked the twist at the end - wasn't expecting it and thought the filmmaker built the suspense nicely.
This film was far more engaging than The Haunting and frightened me a bit more. But, overall, I wouldn't say this film is super scary. However, for a PG-13 horror film, it's really well done and just frightening enough.
