Review of The Others (2001) by Waleed A — 08 Jul 2018

This movie is garbage. it is zero scary. zero. was never nervous, didn't feel tension, never jumped. it probably didn't help that it's one of the slowest movies i've seen and I could barely get through it. I thought about stopping a bunch of times but I wanted to see how it concluded (1 viewing).

The only reason I didn't give this a half star is cause of the twist. it didn't give me goosebumps because I was zero invested in the movie by that point, but it's pretty clever. imagine Insidious, but instead of the family being haunted by the past and doing the trance or whatever to talk to the ghosts, they story was from the point of view of the past ghosts and the "intruders" that were haunting the house were the ppl in present day who are living in the house now and seeing weird stuff caused by the main characters. I like it, but too little too late.
