Review of The Other Woman (2014) by Mauricio A — 09 Aug 2014
I expected more. I had been under the weather and thought a light comedy would help. But when I meant light, I did not mean transparent. The premise, although not complicated gets a watered down treatment as the movie opts for borderline campy humour and unlikely scenarios.
The ending goes on to hurriedly and neatly wrap all the main character's perceived woes and insecurities in the most trivial of ways. And the main villain? Sure a few silly things happen to him, but (spoiler ahead) walks away a multi-millionaire and with no serious long term repercussions.
