Review of The Other Woman (2014) by Henry W — 25 Oct 2014
Surprisingly, I laughed. Leslie Mann saves this movie from being another stereotyped filled unfunny romantic comedy though a few stereotypes still exist. Diaz is ok but she just needs to get away from comedies and work with directors that made her very good back in the day like Spike Jonze and Martin Scorsese.
The movie is funny and has some great moments up until Kate Upton's entrance but not because of Upton's performance. It could have been alot funnier if they casted a physical comedian as the husband because he has alot of moments that should be funnier but he just isn't a comedic actor or how to do physical comedy properly.
I like Nicki Manaj as an artist and even as a person but acting is not for her. I would not be surprised to see her name on the list of Razzie nominees. There were alot of poop jokes that just didn't work and some gags that just didn't really deliver but overall, it's decent but it suffers in the last half.
