I watched a majority of this movie, and I was amazed at how dumb and artificial it was. It's a cute idea, but as executed by Garry Marshall, it's just cheap sentiment in a fancy wrapper. The character's aren't so much retarded, in a literal sense, as they are awkwardly acted.
