My oldest sister is mentally challenged. She also fell for a man and wanted to go live with him. My mom did not approve but since she was over 18, she had no choice but to let her go.

My sister and her b/f lived in his car for several months until they could get on welfare. Fast forward 30 years later and they are still together. Unfortunately, their house is roach infested & cluttered. Ever seen animal planet when the authorities come and take animals away from hoarders? That's my sister. My mom still tries to help her, but my sister is fiercely independant and does not take advice. Anyway, before I write a book let me just say this: the movie is sweet but sometimes, mentally challenged people living on their own isn't always a good idea.
