Review of The Other Side of the Bed (2002) by Andrew C — 05 May 2007
Not a bad spanish rom-com but I was a little put off by all the song and dance numbers to be honest, something I have never been a fan off unless it's an ourtight musical. The movie revolves around the adulterous liasons between two couples and the effects it has on their relationships.
At some points it is rather funny and I was drawn to the characters but every time they started up one of those darn song and dance numbers I was turned off again and couldn't really get into the story with all that happening.
I did get to see Paz Vega topless, which is something you don't see everyday ;) It's a decent Spanish film but nowhere near the best. Having said that I think this is one of the first Spanish comedies I have seen so will be interesting to see how it stacks up against future films.
