Review of The Other Side of Midnight (1977) by Toni S — 26 Aug 2008
Sidney Sheldon's tawdry potboiler is given a lavish trasfer to screen, but no amount of tarting up - including a gorgeous Michel Legrand score and a fun turn from Susan Sarandon in an early role - can paper over a laughable script.
Still, it's lots of fun, and in its own way quite memorable, particularly for the gorgeous but miniscule Pisier who is precariously balanced on keller platforms and heels for the duration.
