Review of The Other Guys (2010) by Nathanp. — 06 Aug 2010

I'm not going to sit here and say The Other Guys is the best movie of the year, but it may very well be the best comedy of this summer. Will Ferrell makes a great comeback after a few bad roles and production choices (The Goods, Land of the Lost).

Mark Wahlberg finds new life as a comedic actor and the summer of surprise funny men continues as Michael Keaton gives a solid supporting performance. My two complaints would be that 1) The 1st half was funnier than the 2nd 2) This movie could've done with some more editing, clocking in just at 2 hours in length Overall though, hilarious from start to finish, if Cop Out left a bad taste in your mouth for buddy cop comedies, The Other Guys will surely help you rinse that right out.
