How on earth did this film end up having 79% critics rating? I guess that the audience is right here as well. The Other Guys starts off well, with a good action and some cleaver lines between Will Farrell and Mark Wahlberg. But as the movie progresses, the pace just seems to be too slow and the jocks immensely fail to click. The chemistry between the two leads still seams good, but as it moves on, the fun is just minimal. What is worse is that the film does not even have a coherent story. Also, what the hell are Samuel L. Jackson and The Rock doing in here. The ending of the movie simply sucks. The makers may think that explosions and bland jokes could save their movie, but that just is not so.
