Review of The Other Boleyn Girl (2008) by Rosalyn O — 12 Sep 2009
A less than adequate adaptation of the novel. There was plenty of potential here to tell the Tudor/Boleyn story from a different angle, however the film gravitated far too much towards the already well-known Anne story rather than focusing on the details of her sister Mary's prior relationship with the King, her first husband Carey and her second husband Stafford.
Perhaps I find this story overshadowed by The Tudors television series, which, as a whole, is more textured and detailed than this film.
