Review of The Other Boleyn Girl (2008) by Ewoudt C — 20 Dec 2009

A period piece that proves that the genre is far from dead and still has a lot of bite left to keep audiences intrigued and interested. Portman, Sturgess, Johansson and Bana make the movie what it is. Portman and Johansson interesting reltionship as siblings is surpirsingly fun to watch and you'll soon find yourself wanting to root for the more devilish of the two.

Bana is believable as a king who is easily manipulated by the women in his life, regardless of his strong and dominating demeanor. If incest and rape does not scare you off, give this movie a try! If it does, you might want to stick with pride and prejudice and so forth.
