Review of The Other Boleyn Girl (2008) by Alejandra C — 20 Feb 2010

Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman on the cast were promising. And it was about Henry VIII, who is a pretty interesting historical characters (has to be one of the most memorable kings with all the wives and everything).

I read the book and hated it, yet I still watched the movie. The performances were good, but I still wasn't fully convinced. Maybe it is because it reduced such a significant period of history to a cat fight.

Or maybe it was something else. Something was lacking.
