Review of The Other Boleyn Girl (2008) by Kerry K — 23 Dec 2010

I kind of enjoyed this, despite the book being much better - the plot was simplified somewhat - for example it took Henry exactly 5 minutes within the film to break from the Catholic church when in reality it took years - Mary Boleyn's daughter to Henry (Catherine Carey) didn't feature either.

However, it was an ok portrayal of the book even though it was not always historically accurate. A much better depiction of this part of history is told in the BBC series 'The Tudors' in which I found the acting and drama much more intense and entertaining.
