Review of The Other Boleyn Girl (2008) by Doris R — 11 Jan 2012
Henry VIII movie with a difference - well, from a different perspective anyhow. This time the Boleyn family is centrepoint of attention rather than the outlandish king - though intrigue and dictating what females' limitations were at the time very much in the forefront.
It also shows that ambition at any cost is not always the best way forward but can lead to tragedy and loss. The story and performances all-round are well perceived and executed and well worth watching despite knowing the eventual outcome.
It is all about the journey after all ...
