In the vein of Sixth Sense and Stir of Echoes, Guillermo Del Toro breathes new life and originality into this creepy, poetic, and moving ghost story about a woman's search for her missing son that leads her to the presence of the supernatural.

When young Simón (Roger Príncep) goes missing during the opening celebration of a school for special needs children put on by his parents, they put their lives on hold in the search for their son. But when the case goes cold, Simón's mother Laura (Belén Rueda) searches for unconventional answers from a psychic/medium which reveals some dark secrets from Laura's childhood when she learns that there may be ghosts living in her house, and that they may have had something to do with her son's disappearance.

This is a chilling and seamless work of art with great acting and a solid storyline that ties together perfectly.
