Review of The Orphanage (2007) by Ana B — 29 Jun 2010
This is a movie that potentially could have been a classic. The direction and the acting of this movie are good and cinematographically it is beautiful. To me the problem comes with the plot, it starts really well with the old subject of the haunted house; we could all perhaps agree that's not the most original plot, however in here there are several twists that make the story really interesting. But when we reach the last stages it all becomes very confusing and puzzling. To this moment I do not know who kills who or what is the meaning of half of the clues and symbols left around the house.
But above all it is a good movie with clever and poetic images .
