Review of The Orphanage (2007) by Sergio M — 29 Jul 2010
The Orphange is a film I wanted to see because I like del Toro so much.
It was a harken back to old scary flicks that had lighthouses and caves and large mansions, the way they should be.
The movie relies on tension, acting and emotions to carry it...not CGFX blood lust.
I enjoyed the film, thought it moved a tad slow at times but it was a decent watch.
Dark secrets from past days of youth come back to haunt the Protagonist.
