Review of The Orphanage (2007) by Beth G — 30 Sep 2012
El Orfanato is one of my favorite movies. It's thrilling and suspenseful yet beautiful and sad at the same time. The movie disorients you, never giving you clues as to when a scary moment is coming up, and that's what I love about this movie.
It keeps you on your toes and never lets you get comfortable. On top of being a remarkable thriller that is sure to surprise you at least once, El Orfanato also tugs at your heart strings, and in the end, the viewer leaves more depressed than terrified.
It's a great movie and a must-see.
