Review of The Orphanage (2007) by Adnan A — 07 Mar 2013

I wish I had read through the plot beforehand, because then I would have been able to make sense of what was going on and enjoyed it more. I watched it with tired eyes and indeed fell asleep twice, so I kept having to pause it a lot, which interrupted the flow of the story.

Having now read the sypnosis, I realise how good it is and everything fell into place. This is a superior horror film that avoids having too many clichés and can be both chilling and beautiful at the same time.
