Review of The Orphanage (2007) by Sandra V — 04 May 2014
I watched this on the plane, so that probably took some of the tension and fear away that most reviewers say this film has in spades. It is different from the usual type of horror film you see nowadays, with not much gore or cheap shocks such as a cat jumping out at the most inopportune time.
The story is intriguing and keeps you glued to the screen, and the search to find out what happened at the orphanage quite gripping. But I was a bit disappointed with the ending and I never felt as if the solution to the mystery offered enough of a resolution.
