The Orphanage is very impressive film that focuses on suspense and story telling that keeps the film down to earth. I saw a film earlier go known as Insidious, and though I enjoyed that film, I had a problem with some scenes that I thought were too fantasy.

The Orphanage never falls into that fantasy element. A performance from Geraldine Chaplin is superb as a mother who is hiding a few secrets her son Simon, but then discovers he is missing. She goes on the hunt to find out what happened to him which keeps the film razor straight.

I enjoyed that and creepy atmosphere that was set up and work well.
