Review of The Orphanage (2007) by August C — 30 Aug 2013

I liked this film. Compelling, creepy and sad. It had some jump-worthy scary moments and a good amount of anticipation as the story unfolded. Good character bonding and a nice stream of empathy to carry you throughout.

And yes, there is a bit of a twist towards the end. An ending that could have ended 5-10 minutes before it actually did and delivered a much harsher close to the film. But the additional 5-10 minutes does provide a well rounded end and a slight sense of relief.
