The third and final Virgil Tibbs movie is also my least favorite. A dialogue & character-lite flick that sees Sydney Poitierâ??s ace detective plopped against jazzy scored action set pieces with not much of a mystery to solve: who is The Organization, a gang of San Fran drug dealers.
Nice supporting cast with revolutionaries Billy Green Bush, Ron Oâ??Neal, and Raul Julia but they also donâ??t really have much to work with either. Decent, but not as interesting as In The Heat of the Night or They Call Me Mister Tibbs.
