Review of The Open House (2018) by Jason H — 22 Jan 2018
I liked the paced of the film and the mother son relationship played by two actors I have enjoyed in the past especially Dylan of Netflix 12 Reasons why fame.
The modern but shadow riden house and unpleasant cellar gave some very good atmospheric moments and apprehension.
The strange neighbor as is often seen in this genre of film was present.
But I am afraid to say that the ending falls way short and leaves you with a sense of 'well that was all very pointless'.
Shame as the back story, actors and settling were well thought through.....shame they seem to run out of ideas for the conclusion.
