Review of The Open House (2018) by Julian M — 15 Feb 2018

Oh my, where to start. Spoilers ahead. Random creepy guy standing in the road for what reason? Expensive mansion with no lights in the huge basement? Shower water that goes from hot to freezing in a split second? Wearing nothing but a towel to enter dark basement with flashlight and matches to re-light water heater.

..then water is immediately hot again? Several random off-the-cuff comments from minor characters were supposed to mean something? Like the guy who just comments it was weird living there at first but he got used to it? So he lived there before? What? The table is mysteriously set for three people and an old phone at the end of the table? Why? Then after the usual final blood and gore scene, a seemingly random car turns off the road and heads towards an open house.

What am I supposed to make of that? All-in-all I found it very confusing and disjointed. Sorry.
