Review of The One I Love (2014) by Drew M — 19 Sep 2014
I pretty much adore everything Mark Duplass is in and this was no different. One of the most interesting character studies I've seen in quite some time. It's funny when high concept films are better when they're a little more in the background.
It's unfortunate that it kind of takes over the film near the end. The ending left me feeling a little complexed with the film's meaning, but with multiple views (which it has in it IMO) and more contemplation I think it'll settle better with me.
Definitely left me with a dark feeling, though.
