Review of The One I Love (2014) by Jim P — 16 Dec 2014
A surreal relationship drama hidden behind questionable direction, a horrendous first- and second-act score, and the utter lack of any compelling chemistry between the leads. Partially redeemed by an engaging, if wholly predictable and less than completely satisfying third act.
The film never really commits to what it wants to be - romantic comedy, relationship drama, or surreal experimentalism and suffers under the weight of its own indecision.
