Within a half-hour we were driving up into this really nice neighborhood, and we were running down the stairs of some strangers back yard, and then we were swimming, and we were in love. What we didn't count on was that even though the lights were off, the owner of the home was there. And he came out screaming at us, and it was the greatest night of my life.

Una de las películas más originales que he visto últimamente es una oda hacia las expectativas que tenemos hacia el amor y que pasa cuando no se cumplen. Ethan y Sophie están teniendo dificultades en su relación, y deciden visitar a un psicólogo buscando soluciones. Él les da un brochure para pasar un fin de semana en una hermosa propiedad y así reconectarse. Al pasar la primera noche ahí, todo va mejor de lo esperado hasta que se dan cuenta que algo va terriblemente mal. The One I Love cuenta una historia que no se asemeja a ninguna otra y sorprendentemente logra atar los cabos sueltos a pesar de que a veces no tenga mucho sentido lo que sucede, pero si nosotros como espectadores nos dejamos llevar por la experiencia, esta película no defrauda. A pesar de estar ambientada en el mismo lugar siempre, es dinámica y te mantiene interesado mientras que las cosas toman giros inesperados constantemente. Muy recomendada.
