Review of The One (2001) by Jared L — 18 Jan 2012
A mediocre, unremarkable action film I love with all my heart. From Jason Statham's constantly shifting accent to the stilted dialogue to the painfully obvious deus ex machina and Chekhov guns, there is nothing here that does not fill me with utter glee.
The final line has me rolling on the floor no matter how many times I see it. I could watch this film three times in one day by myself or making fun of it with friends. It is the very definition of a guilty pleasure.
