Review of The Omen (1976) by Liz — 08 Apr 2011
Unbearably slow and uninvolved. The characters have no connection factor, and I was surprised by Gregory Peck's lack of personality. Harvey Stephens was frightening, but it wasn't his character, it was his acting that was frightening, and that's just because it was so unrealistically terrible.
Overall, the plot was sorely lacking, and the "psychological" horror that it is iconic for, is more a mixture of a great score, and no action.
