Review of The Omega Man (1971) by Norma J — 23 Apr 2008
This is what I Am Legend is based on, and their are certainly similarities.
One difference, however, is that this film doesn't totally suck.
It's fucking old school, and the fucked up post apocalyptic bad guys are basically painted a little bit yellow and given a few scars. Charlton Heston overacts to the point where at one point he clearly mimics Jesus on the cross.
However, the story is awesome (if you ignore the gaping plot holes about the whole 'blood serum' idea), as is the dialogue.
Other great things about this film are the constant and numerous goofs. Like the clearly visible two cars in the background at the beginning. Brilliant.
