Review of The Omega Man (1971) by Mitchell B — 04 Apr 2008
This film was goofier than I thought it would be. The mutants with the giant sunglasses on tended to downplay their menacing ways to me. Also, whenever Neville had a battle with the mutants, it felt like an old man running onto his porch with a shotgun telling the hooligans to get off of his lawn.
The music didn't help either. It sounded better suited for a blaxploitation film. And yet, as campy as the film was, it was still enjoyable.
