We shall cleanse the world.

Robert Neville appears to be the last man on Earth after surviving a strange viral epidemic that turned most of the human race into violent vampire like beasts or just outright killed them. Neville was a scientist and still holds out hope of developing a cure. When he comes across some survivors that he may be able to save he intensifies his research to perhaps save the human race.

"The definition of a scientist is someone who understands nothing until there is nothing to understand.".

Boris Sagal, director of Dial M for Murder (1981), World War III, The Diary of Anne Frank, Sherlock Holmes in New York, Deliver Us From Evil (1973), and Mosquito Squadron, delivers Omega Man. The storyline for this movie, from Richard Metheson's I Am Legend, is phenomenal. The acting and action sequences are solid and the cast includes Charlton Heston, Anthony Zerbe, Paul Koslo, Lincoln Kilpatrick, and Brian Tochi.

"Are you guys really internal revenue service?".

Omega Man is a film that I have wanted to see for some time. I adored the original I Am Legend story from the Matheson book and was disappointed by the Will Smith picture. This movie definitely had its own frustrating nuances that deviated from the book but I thoroughly enjoyed watching the story and characters plots (and sub plots) unfold. This movie is definitely worth your time.

"Kill them or cure them.".

Grade: B+.
