Review of The Omega Man (1971) by Luc L — 30 Sep 2012
Perphas the most entertaining second adapation of "I Am Legend", although this one is titled "The Omega Man". Charlton Heston is the best thing about this movie, he certainly makes this visually striking film very entertaining with the right amount of thrills and camp value.
There is some memorable sequences, especially the part, when Heston character watches "Woodstock". Anthony Zerbe as Matthias (The Dead Zone) is fun to watch as the leader of "The Family".
Blu-ray transfer is pretty good, I never seen the picture looks this good before. The ending is certainly downbeat, well, like most of the best movies of the 1970's. Fans of Science-Fiction films will certainly find this one extremely entertaining.
