Review of The Old Man and the Sea (1990) by Tomasan — 17 Feb 2009
I thought this version of Hemingway's story was told rather well. It tended to lag sometimes, but it contained lots of heart, and portrayed a timeless connection between old and young. The island atmosphere is great as well as the flashbacks of the old man's past.
The battle between the Old Man and the Marlin was pretty great also. I would actually like to see the original movie version after seeing this one. 3-starz.
