Review of The Odd Life of Timothy Green (2012) by Mesh B — 11 Aug 2013
Oh man. The Odd Life of Timothy Green is very ...I don't know. Unexciting? Overly Sentimental? Yeah, I think both of those. I know Disney is all about the magic, and most of the time they have it..
. but they didn't here. I don't know if it was the story itself or just the execution. I feel like this world, the pencil factories & museums, the town of Stanleyville, could've been handled better by a director like Tim Burton.
He creates a world that can be so unbelievable but at the same time, so realistic. This really could've been like Edward Scissorhands for a younger audience. The stories are kind of similar if you think about it.
There is some heart here, but at times it feels insincere and I just couldn't like it.
