Review of The Odd Life of Timothy Green (2012) by Brendan N — 29 Nov 2012
Intriguing concept with a slow story and plot holes everywhere. This was an interesting choice for Disney and proves they are still interested in trying original films.
The story is well told but the lack of character development didn't help. I still couldn't understand some of the story elements which is a shame. The director turns the film into a melodrama and changes tone for the whole movie. It is a bold move that doesn't work.
The writers had an interesting idea but they fail to do anything remotely interesting with the characters. Nothing is explored or explained and it robs the film in the end.
Not a film to watch over and over again but if you enjoy unconventional and original storytelling then check this out.
