Review of The Odd Couple (1968) by Dave J — 03 Jun 2007
It is nearly astounding how well the film follows the original stage script. One musn't be surprised to learn that the role of Oscar Madison was written for Walter Matthau. He translates beautifully from stage to screen with his new costar of Jack Lemmon as Felix Ungar.
Neil Simon's most famous play by far and one of the most beloved pieces of American cinema and theatre.
